David Gandy | #005
This week, HandCut Radio hosts British style icon and ambassador David Gandy.
Gandy’s career is unparalleled in the fashion industry. He was talent-spotted during a televised modelling competition in 2001, and shot to global stardom as the face of Dolce & Gabbana’s iconic Light Blue campaign in 2006. Today, he’s transitioned from a world-famous model to a consultant, entrepreneur and philanthropist – making him an unorthodox figure in the fashion industry to say the least.
In this episode, he reflects on his early career and how the advertising industry has changed since. He also shares his thoughts on social media marketing, takes influencer culture to task (for the second time this season – see episode one) and demonstrates how going against the grain gets results.
